Build a multi-mission quest with points, trivia, ciphers, and GPS check-ins.

Free, just a username and passphrase, no email. Caches you build show up in My Caches so you can reopen and edit them without hunting for the edit link, and watch plays and wins. The same account syncs My Puzzle Texts across devices and manages your short links.

A CacheQuest is a quest of your own missions: trivia questions, ciphers to decode, GPS check-ins, riddles, whatever you like. Each mission is worth points, and you set a point goal. A finder works through the missions (in any order your unlock rules allow), earning points as they go. Once their total crosses your goal, and every mission you marked required is done, the page reveals your final coordinates or a geochecker keyword. You can add hints with point penalties, limit wrong attempts, and chain missions so one only unlocks after another.

Choose a mission type

Each mission type changes what the player sees and how they complete it.

✍️ Answer: The player types a word or phrase. You can accept several answers and allow close spelling.
🔢 Number: The player enters an exact number, a number within a range, or a value close to your target.
❓ Trivia: The player chooses from your list of options. You can require one or several correct choices.
🗝️ Cipher: The player decodes a message you create, then submits the plain-text answer.
📍 Check in: The player sees the destination and must physically reach it. You can ask a question after arrival.
🧭 GPS find: The destination stays hidden while a compass guides the player toward it. You can ask a question after arrival.
🧩 Multi-part: Combine several answer, number, trivia, or cipher parts into one mission. The player must solve every part.

Do not put sensitive, personal, or inappropriate content in a quest. Anything you create here is public to anyone with the link, and you are responsible for what you publish. Keep a copy of your edit key, it is the only way to change or delete your quest later.

Where can I host images for free?

Paste a direct https:// link to an image. Free image hosts that give a direct link include ImgBB, postimages.org, and Cloudinary. A geocaching.com image link works too. The link must start with https://.

I understand this quest is public, contains nothing sensitive or inappropriate, and I am responsible for its content. I also understand that caches which sit unused are removed automatically: one that is never played is deleted 30 days after it is created, and one with no plays for two years may be deleted.

Keep your quest in play to keep it live. Share the play link so people visit it; unused caches are cleaned up over time.
