Cache Slicer Builder

Make your own Cache Slicer geocache with a sharable play link.

Sign in to save this cache to your account

Free, just a username and passphrase, no email. Caches you build show up in My Caches so you can reopen and edit them without hunting for the edit link, and watch plays and wins. The same account syncs My Puzzle Texts across devices and manages your short links.

My Caches

Containers are lobbed up from the bottom of the screen in arcs, in one continuous run of throws with a breather in between. Players swipe to slice them, and what a container is worth goes by how hard it is to hit: an ammo can is 10 points, a nano is 60. One swipe through several pays a combo bonus on top, and a long slice pays more still. Muggles wander through the same arcs, and cutting three of those ends the run on the spot however well it was scoring. Reach the target score you set before the throws run out and the cache is revealed.

This one is checked more strictly than the other arcade builders. The round is served to the player one volley at a time, and never as a seed the page could unfold ahead of time, so the game cannot be computed and submitted without playing it. Every slice is checked against the volley the server actually sent, including whether a human could have reacted that fast.

Anything you create here is public to anyone with the link, and you are responsible for what you publish. Keep a copy of your edit key, it is the only way to change or delete your puzzle later.

Your puzzle

Shown to players as a link to your cache page.

Only the site admin can see this, in case they need to reach you about your cache. Never shown to players.

A volley is one batch of thrown containers, and they arrive back to back with a short breather between them. Later volleys throw more at once, so a longer round gets genuinely busy near the end.

Muggle frequency

How often a muggle turns up among the thrown containers. This is the real difficulty dial: more muggles means fewer safe swipes and a lower reachable score, so the target score guidance below adjusts with it.

On win, reveal

Shown only after a player beats your target score. Reveal either the final coordinates or a keyword, not both.

Where can I host an image for free?

Paste a direct https:// link to an image. Free image hosts that give a direct link include ImgBB, postimages.org, and Cloudinary. A geocaching.com image link works too. The link must start with https://.

Keep your cache in play to keep it live. Share the play link so people visit it; unused caches are cleaned up over time.
